Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) is inviting the local community to help inform and develop its seven-year strategy. Hampshire residents are being encouraged to share their thoughts on what they feel matters most when receiving the right care, in the right way and at the right time.
The overarching trust strategy will focus on several key themes, including outstanding care, sustainability, and innovation, with patients and staff at the forefront. As a crucial part of how HHFT will provide services for the people of Hampshire, the strategy will align with and support the recently developed clinical strategy. Working together, both strategies aim to achieve the trust’s overall vision to deliver outstanding care for every patient underpinned by the HHFT CARE values.
HHFT is inviting the public to share its views on the proposals before the final trust strategy is completed.
Alex Whitfield, chief executive at HHFT, said: “Our patients, staff and wider community are central to what we do here at HHFT and we want to ensure that all of these groups are part of our journey to 2028. We are proposing five strategic themes, which outline our plans for achieving the trust’s vision of providing outstanding care for every patient and having valuable community input on how we’ll get there is a really important step for us.”
Shirlene Oh, chief strategy and population health officer at HHFT, said: “In the last few years, we have seen and experienced an extraordinary amount of change, both in our hospitals and in the way our community operates. Our trust strategy will integrate learnings from the pandemic as part of our aim to ensure that we, as a trust, are fit for the future – while continuing to put our patients and staff first.
This strategy will ensure our priorities and energies are focused on the needs of our community whilst we commit to enhancing and innovating our services to continually improve patient care.”
